Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and customize Shopify themes to create visually appealing and functional online stores.
- Build and implement custom Shopify apps and features to meet client requirements.
- Integrate third-party applications and plugins with Shopify to enhance store functionality.
- Optimize Shopify websites for maximum performance, speed, and SEO.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure seamless user experiences across all devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Shopify stores, including bugs and performance bottlenecks.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify features, apps, and development best practices.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing Shopify stores.
- Assist with the migration of stores to the Shopify platform.
- Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into effective e-commerce solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Shopify development.
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid (Shopify’s templating language).
- Experience with Shopify’s REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Strong understanding of responsive web design principles.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience with integrating payment gateways, shipping methods, and other third-party services.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices for e-commerce websites.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Shopify Plus and Shopify Scripts.
- Knowledge of e-commerce marketing strategies and tools.
- Familiarity with other e-commerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce, Magento).
- Experience with headless Shopify implementations.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
